Ironmongery

We keep in stock a modest supply of ironwork suitable for fixing timber to timber and timber to concrete.

The screws and bolts we keep arrive in a plethora of sizes and are fabricated to very high standards, boasting both ease of use and durability. The majority of fixings we have available are as follows:

Wood Screws

Wood screws

With a self-cutting profile fabricated into each screw, the risk of splitting timber is greatly reduced. Our carbon steel screws are galvanised in a waxed zinc and yellow passivated finish. The next best thing to stainless steel but for a fraction of the price. You can expect our wood screws to last up to 15 years in wet and damp conditions. Available in sizes as small as 3.5mm x 15mm all the way up to a beefy 6mm x 200mm they offer excellent performance, even in the worst conditions.

Drywall screws

Coated in black phosphate, Drywall screws have a deep-cut profile to provide the screw with a firm fix into plasterboards. They are crafted with ease of use as a top priority, with a coarse thread and a self-cutting tip. They sink in swiftly and fix in firmly.

Joist Screws

Joist screws

A specialised screw, fashioned out of hardened steel. The hex head allows for a solid purchase when driving into a structural material, while the flange acts as an in-built washer to distribute load. The natural brown texture comes coated in a water based Alkaline Copper Quaternary (ACQ), an environmentally friendly chemical, specifically designed for preserving timber. Ideal for roofing, landscaping and decking, these structural screws are the best choice for a solid fix.

Concrete Screws

Concrete screws

The screw to use when fixing timber to concrete. They come with a deep T-30 head to prevent cam-out, three serrated v-threads for efficient debris removal, and a Hi-Lo thread allowing for a superior hold. No plugs necessary. Much like the wood screws, they come with a zinc and yellow passivated finish, making them easy to use and timber friendly. These screws are suitable for timber, bricks, concrete blocks and stone.

Concrete Bolts

Coach bolts

AKA carriage bolts and cup square bolts, they are a staple in construction fixing. Typically used on critical points for structural integrity for wood to wood and wood to metal projects, they offer an extra layer of security due to the dome head and square nut below, where the bolt is only removable from one side. Offering strength, stability and security the galvanised coach bolts make for a solid choice in security applications as well as structural.

Concrete Bolts

A modern replacement to metal anchors, our concrete bolts are designed to fix timber to concrete under incredibly high tension. They’re manufactured from high grade steel and heat treated, allowing the concrete bolt to withstand 800N/mm2 and much like the screw, comes with three serrated v-heads for debris removal. Suitable with these substrates:

Suitable with these substrates:

– Concrete – Concrete block
– Brick – Timber
– Marble – Stone

An easy to use, strong and secure fixing.
